Do you love sports? Does your area lack a sports league? Are politics getting in the way of your children having fun? Well, start your own league.
Yes, you can do it. People, I woke up one day and said I wanted to be a writer. This month, I sold 50 books on Amazon without spending a penny on advertising. If I can do it, you can.
Content is king. The most important takeaway from this article is that you will fund your sports league by releasing content. For this article, let’s focus on starting an ultimate frisbee league.
Life in the Metaverse
Your goal is to release training videos, how-to guides, tips, tricks, highlights, and the behind-the-scenes content of your sport and sports league. Now, let’s start this thing from scratch.
Getting started. First, give your content empire a name: Frisbee for All. Your empire name will be a higher entity than your sports league because you may want to create multiple sports leagues over time. We will call our sports league Springfield Frisbee.
The following steps are the most important: open a Facebook group, Facebook Page, blog, and YouTube Channel. If you feel Tik Tok or any other social media is essential, open those as well.
The money comes from content. The most crucial aspect of your league is funding it by releasing content. Therefore, get to work creating content immediately.
Decrease Possessions. Increase Wealth.
You can release content daily if you want to gain traction quickly. For frisbee, you can release videos on different throws, catches, rules sets, diving, and techniques when defenders swarm you.
Remember, people love video, and it will gain traction quickly; however, blogging is more important in the long run. Getting search engine hits to your blog will sustain your league over the long term.
When you release a video, transcribe it and post it to your blog. Embed the video, ensuring you use excellent search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
A higher level of content. You can also post behind-the-scenes videos, updates, and information about the creation of your league. You are not rushing to establish a physical club for the first 2-3 years.
What is Decentralized Finance?
Starting the physical league. Once you have the financial groundwork from your content business, begin building the rollout plan for your physical institution.
Set content goals you want to achieve before starting a physical league. I would say getting monetized on YouTube (1,000 subscribers) and receiving 1,000 views a day on your blog. These are solid metrics proving you have a viable content business.
I can’t stress this enough—start your league small. Play on one high school field and have 2-4 small teams. Find the most passionate frisbee players in your area and tell them your plan.
Real Estate Investing in Your 30s
Set the schedule for maybe two months per season and ten games yearly. You don’t want to lose focus of your primary money maker—content.
Adding more content. Now it’s time to build a massive portfolio of content. You have three types of content to release: tips & tricks, running a league, and game highlights.
Keep pumping out content on your Frisbee for All channels. When anyone searches for the ultimate frisbee, you want to be near the top results.
Happy Cash Flow Retirement 6
Don’t overspend. Do not get caught up in the hype of your young league. Find generic logo designs on a stock photo website like Redbubble. Convert the designs to T-shirts you use as a jersey, plus mugs, hats, and sweatshirts.
You can post links to Redbubble merchandise on your various media platforms, creating another passive income stream.
Training camps. Eventually, after five years, people will start taking you, your channels, and your league seriously. They will want you to run short training camps for their children (say three days).
As I said in my article “Start a Tutoring Business Towards Passive Income,” there is no need to overcharge for the camps. Ask for permission to release video content covering the training camps at a reduced rate. Release video and blog content on the training camps, creating even more passive income.
Your First Five Dividend Stocks
Consulting and coaching. Your physical league will begin to grow as the word spreads. People worldwide will want to start their own sports league because your content inspires them.
You are now in a position to consult on existing leagues or coach individuals who are just starting their businesses. Take note of recurring questions you answer as you coach and consult your clients. These questions will fuel more content. You can even try your hand as a fitness coach to help players prepare for the league.
The mic drops. Now, for the ultimate form of passive income—online courses. Over the last ten years, you have built a YouTube platform of 100,000 subscribers, a blog that receives 50,000 page views daily, a physical league of ten teams, and held 25 training camps. It’s time to cash in your passive income chips via online courses.
On your blog, you can host courses from beginner, intermediate, and advanced frisbee players—using players from your league to teach.
Dividends vs. Royalties part III
You can release courses on starting a league, working with parents and the community, and building an actionable business strategy.
You can also create courses on the social media aspect of growing a Youtube audience, a large blog, and how to create meaningful content.
It all comes together. If you put in the work upfront, you can manage your league and social media presence as your full-time job. One reason content creation is vital to your financial future is “reach.”
Fitness in the Metaverse
You are helping people in India start Frisbee leagues from the ground up. Everything you do adds value to the world by allowing less-fortunate people to believe they can play frisbee too.
But you’ll need money. You can only help others if you have the financial well-being to continue your mission. So, you’ll have to focus on creating content, starting multiple income streams, and building dividend income on the side.
Conclusion. This is a long road, and the one less taken. I am telling you this strategy works because I am doing it today as a writer.
Budget vs. Fixed Income
You’ll have to love Frisbee, helping people, and the freakin’ grind. There is nothing more fulfilling than grinding on something you love.
I am writing this article because my friend’s daughter loves playing ultimate Frisbee. Everyone is telling her to get a job!
I am here to say that an alternate path will allow you to do what you love and make much more money doing it.
It requires hard work, self-education, and trusting the creative system. That’s why I write daily; I trust the system and want to prove to our youth that you can be more than a job. Good Luck!
