What is Your Creative Ability?

I love talking about one’s ability to be creative. The reason behind my passion is that I never believed I was creative.

I joined the military directly out of high school in 1999 and spent the next 21 years grinding to the top. The world meant for me to be a rigid military-type person, or so I thought.

But one day, after learning about passive income, I forced myself to become a writer. Over the next 2.5 years, I learned how to write, edit, and design books.

Living Overseas Passively with an Automated Business

It has been an incredible creative journey, and I still travel every day. Now it is my duty to help you find your creative passions and abilities. Let’s begin.

What is creativity? Most people don’t understand how creativity manifests itself. Being creative isn’t quitting your job, buying an easel, and painting all day.

Being creative is building something without input from someone else. When someone tells you to do something, it is their creativity, not yours.

Therefore, you can be creative in a multitude of different categories. Yes, you have standard affairs like videos, art, writing, and photography.

Five Steps to (Financially) Running a Household

But you can also do things like woodworking, business, tour guides, collectibles, etc. The sky’s the limit when creating something original, but you’ll have to work toward this goal.

Finding your creative outlet. The most challenging part of being creative is understanding how your mind operates. You don’t just sit down and come up with magical ideas that become unique products.

Creativity is more of a process than an action. You have to work every day, like a job, to get the desired results.

There are many books on creativity, but I recommend “The Practice” and “Manage Your Day-to-Day.”

Single Ladies. What Are Your Retirement Plans?

After reading these books, you’ll understand that creativity is more about having a strict routine and regimen than forming random ideas.

You will need to force yourself into a creative flow by creating an innovative environment daily. This includes sitting at the same desk, drinking the same coffee, and working at the same place.

Once you set the stage every day, your brain will get the hint that it’s time to create. But it’ll take more than setting the stage to produce great creative works.

The challenge of creativity. The true challenge of creativity comes from finding a unique niche to exploit. The only way to find a niche is to keep grinding until you become amazing at producing great products.

Merry Debt-Free Christmas

It takes 10,000 hours to master a skill set. When it comes to creativity, this means finding your individual niche in the world and building a massive catalog of content.

You cannot envision your true calling because you will start within a broad niche. Let’s look at how a general topic can become a valuable niche.

A skateboarding example. Let’s start with the broad topic of skateboarding. You start with this broad niche and divide it into five sub-categories.

  1. Professional skateboarding
  2. Skateboarding for kids
  3. How to start skateboarding
  4. Great places to skateboard
  5. Skateboarding for adults

Every day you create a video, podcast, or article about one of these topics. Eventually, you can start to merge concepts and create wholly original content that no one else covers.

Your Income Should Increase Every Year

How about “Great places where kids and adults can skateboard together” and “How to prepare your child for professional skateboarding.”

The book “How to Take Smart Notes” teaches us how to combine ideas to create a never-ending stream of content—ensuring we can continually make new art.

You can do the same as a painter, writer, photographer, etc. But you will have to start somewhere. For example, you may need to start with weddings as a photographer.

Getting started with something you love. We all have creative abilities that school took from us. We just need to find passion and work toward being creative.

Multi-Generational Investing

Do you love to read fiction books like mysteries, science fiction, or romance? You can create a blog reviewing these books or create in-depth fan fiction.

Do you love watching B-movies on Netflix? Create a rating system guide to give people something to watch over the weekend.

Do you love to travel on the cheap? Create detailed guides on how to travel on $200, $400, and $600.

The world is your oyster, but you must continue building upon your ideas. As you keep grinding, you will form more extensive and better ideas to put into motion.

Start a Passive Ecommerce Business

Can you go the distance? It will take a few years before anyone notices your work. Rightfully so, because your early work will be terrible.

I taught myself how to design book covers over the last two years. My first covers were horrible, but they were essential to my growth.

The best part of starting is putting yourself out there with crappy work. If you can achieve this, it’s easy to display your good content later.

The Magic of Marriage

Sadly, most people never reach the stage where their work and people’s reception align. It’s tough to keep going when no one is paying attention, but it’s part of the process. Can you go the distance?

Conclusion. Going back to your creative roots will change your life. Only 3-5% of the population are creators; each day, it becomes fewer.

The Magic of Saving

The funny part is that people create content for social media every day. However, as soon as you tell them to get serious about their work, they give up.

Creative content is fulfilling and relaxing; you can also build an income stream for the rest of your life. Can you make money doing something you love?

If you can take your creative ability seriously, you can make massive gains toward building an income stream. You can also add value to the world through your creative works. If this sounds good to you, then start your journey today. Good Luck!
