Bridge the Gap: How to Create Meaningful Content

One of the central limiting beliefs preventing people from creating content is “fear of self.” People do not believe that their words can make an impact on the world.

However, there is room in the world for everyone that wants to make this place a better society. Everyone has something to offer the universe, and I’m here to show you how.

Connecting people. One of the 120+ books I read said that I am a connector. A connector unites people and ideas to one another. We see things that many people cannot envision themselves.

For example, say I have a friend starting a food truck business, but he doesn’t know where to get propane. I also have a friend who has a lawn-mowing side hustle.

On the surface, they have nothing in common. But in reality, I know the person with the lawn-mowing service has many connections to propane, gas, and generators. I can connect these two people so they can both succeed.

Content is connecting. Creating content is connecting people to ideas, concepts, and groups. Let’s take the stock market, for example.

Most people know the stock market exists and that they should be investing. However, they fear getting involved because it’s scary.

If they come across a content creator that explains the stock market, this person may begin to feel more comfortable. This is how a person connects to the creator and the stock market.

They then form a strong bond with the creator—this is what we call adding value. With this in mind, there is room for anyone who wants to become a connector.

How I discovered this deep connection? I recently discovered the importance of content creators. I have always known that I love consuming and creating content, but something hit me last week.

There is a game on Nintendo Switch titled “Monster Hunter Rise.” It is a game that requires hundreds (even thousands) of hours to become great.

I have no chance of becoming a good player because I don’t have the time. But, I can consume hundreds of hours of content from creators centered on the game.

Although I knew I wouldn’t become a top-notch player, I started playing the game slowly. I hope to at least finish the game one time.

The value of content. So there is a game that I am interested in playing. I lack the skill to attempt the game on my own. Without content, I would never give this game a second glance.

The content creator connected me to the game. By extension, I connect with the creator and form a bond. That’s the magic of being a content creator

The seamlessly random connection can happen anywhere and at any time. People can stumble on your content without any intention to consume it. You may completely open up their thought process or change their perception of the world.

How to get started. Someone may want to become a lawyer but not understand how to take the LSAT. Another person may like to learn how to skateboard but needs to comprehend the basics.

To create meaningful content, you must consume, perform, and produce. If you do these things, you can create a never-ending stream of content.

  1. Consume. Creators must consume more content than they create. Creation is where your “cup runneth over,” and everything in your brain comes spilling out into the world.
  2. Perform. You have to take action. I need to have a dividend portfolio if I am writing about dividends. Even if it is a small one, I have to have proof that I am following my own words.
  3. Produce. Then you have to present your content so people can easily consume it. Yes, your products will suck at first. If it were easy, everyone would create.

Create something every day. I am a firm believer that you must create something every day. Daily exercise of your brain ensures it is always on top of its game.

Passive Income from Creativity 106: Writing

People overthink creation, and this leads to perfectionism. The book “Manage Your Day-to-Day” has an excellent section on perfectionism. Trying to be perfect hinders our ability to grow and create more content.

A simple experiment. Want to learn the power of creating every day? Try this experiment. Find a word processing or photo editor that has many fonts.

Your mission is to write your name in a different font every day for one year. Make this your daily morning ritual, or add it to your evening process.

The program I use, “Pixlr.com,” seems to have 200 fonts. This is where things get interesting. I would need to learn something new to continue my journey after using those 200 fonts.

Do Fitness & Finance Correlate?

I would need to import more fonts or read about other fonts from different programs. Or I could study fonts from overseas or foreign languages. You will grow as you force yourself to continue the path forward.

My content journey. The book “Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing” told me I could create something that produced income without costing money. I was intrigued by the concept of creating an asset from thin air

I have written an article and produced a book daily for the last year and a half. It’s been a fantastic ride, and sometimes I cannot believe the cover I created. I choose to make everything for free as an experiment.

I get to look at other people’s extraordinary artwork and use it on my covers. I only need to find the correct emotional tone I want to set for my books.

Your First Home: Investment Property or Dream Home?

I never thought of myself as creative, but we all have these abilities. You must consume, perform, and produce to find your creative voice. Don’t let your logical brain over-ride your creative brain—education leads us to believe we aren’t creative.

Conclusion. Everyone can create meaningful content by helping someone connect with an idea or concept. What do you love doing that others also would enjoy?

Do you want to learn how to play the piano? If so, others will want to follow your journey. You don’t have to be the subject matter expert on the topics. You need only consume, perform, and produce.

Education in the Metaverse

It’s tough to understand when someone says “add value” to others. As I learn more about adding value, I will continue expanding my content.

We are all put on this Earth to continue to learn. We must learn about relationships, ourselves, and our connection to Earth. Once we stop learning, we wither away—becoming worthless.

Content creators help others on their learning journeys. If you want to be part of the solution, create content. Good Luck!
