Can You Achieve Work-Life Balance 3

Working hard every day while maintaining an engaging home life is the most challenging situation on the planet. All day, we attempt to keep our souls alive while at work—fighting against the depression surrounding us.

When we get home, we must spring to life and leave all those bad vibes at the door. Some of us do this game from the ages of 18-65. That is 47 years of walking the tightrope of work and home.

Can you balance work and life (part 1, part 2)? This question goes for single and married folks: can you truly balance your work and home lives?

Don’t Fear Delegation

Most people cannot balance both simultaneously. They may favor home life and reach their peak at work early in life. This means they still work for 47 years, but they never reach the height of the manager or CEO.

Others focus on their careers, achieving high status at work. However, they struggle at home because they may be absent or too busy.

Which way is the correct way? Nobody knows until life puts us into this situation. On the one hand, putting family first is always a must. However, going to work without reaching a high salary can bite you in the rear-end later.

As important as family is, money is just as vital to the success of your family. What happens when your children need money for a home or cover an emergency?

Focusing on your career can set your family up for financial freedom; however, you may not have a family waiting for you at the finish line.

The best way for both stories. There are ways to achieve success at home and work; however, they don’t teach these in school.

I’m Too Serious

We have to learn to make our money work for us. In yesteryear, they called this “Mailbox Money.” Today, I like to refer to it as “Email Money,” more commonly referred to as “Passive Income.”

Passive income allows our money to do our work while we spend time with family. With passive income hitting our accounts, we can sleep easy knowing that our family finances are moving forward every month.

How does passive income help our work-life balance? Passive income gives us control of our income streams. Instead of working hard for a promotion, we can build our personal brand

Instead of working late at work, we can become a Passive Income Hero and grind away at our home business

Instead of our family members working various jobs across the town, building our family business allows us to work together and prosper.

Is building passive income easy? No, producing an income stream takes 10,000 hours or more. That can be anywhere from 3-7 years (depending on how much time you spend daily).

Remember, most of us will build an income stream while working full-time. This is what I am doing right now. “The 10% Entrepreneur” walks us through the process of becoming an entrepreneur in our off time.

You need to get your family on board to have a successful income stream. You can’t just disappear into your home office and assume everything will be okay.

Creating passive income is a family affair, and you should treat it as such. One of the main benefits of creating an income stream is passing it on to future generations

What are good income streams to build while I work full time? One of the best passive income streams is building a dividend portfolio. Don’t get me wrong; it takes a lot of cash to build dividends to an appropriate level.

However, once you get your dividends flowing, they are relatively passive. You need only check them once a month or so.

Orange You Glad You Have Passive Income?

Another good one is creating rental income via real estate. You can even use rental income to help pay for college or other family matters. Real estate is one of the best assets to leave to your children and grandchildren.

Finally, starting a business is going to be a massive wealth generator. You can pursue a creative path, a consulting company, or work outdoors. Business can be as active or passive as your time requires.

Is it tough to balance work, passive income, and family? Yes, it is difficult to add even more on top of your busy life. However, it can work wonders if you can explain it well, get everyone involved, and make everyone passionate about the process.

The best part is that you can control your income stream as you and your family need. You don’t have to build a massive business if it’s not in your family’s best interest. Dividends may be the best income stream for your allocated timeline.

Conclusion. Achieving a work-life balance is a struggle for most people. We want to provide a great life for our families, but it comes at the cost of our time.

We need to separate our time from our money by building passive income streams. If we can work as a family, our chances of success will sky-rocket.

We must decide what income streams (dividends, rents, business) best suit our family’s needs and travel down that path at full force. Only you can determine what is best for you and your family, so take it seriously.
