Why I Subscribed to Kindle Unlimted as a Content Creator

I read a lot. Probably more than the average person, but not as much as the average Kindle Unlimited reader. Over the last 14 months, I have finished 70 books, giving me a rough average of one book a week.

When I first started heavily reading books, I felt that I needed to buy each book outright. I always wanted to have the book on hand in case I needed to reference it later.

Then I discovered Readwise.io. Readwise syncs your highlights from your Kindle books to the web browser. Now, I have access to all my notes—at all times. Now, I don’t have to even have my Kindle around at all times. You can get a free month of Readwise if you use my affiliate link

Taking notes is an integral part of being a content creator. The book “How to Take Smart Notes” taught me the process of forming deep thoughts during the reading process. In fact, I consider this book the main reason I can create a never-ending stream of content

The more I read, the more I succeed. So I guess it was only a matter of time before I signed up for the Kindle Unlimited program. I had read many books that fell under the Kindle Unlimited program, but I was still buying the books outright.

When I started to do deep research, I noticed that most of those books were in the KU program. A perfect example is the book “An Expat’s Experiences Living In Turkey.” I am writing a series titled “Living Overseas Passively,” so I needed to research overseas life.

When I had to do deep research on life in Turkey as a foreigner, this book popped into the search results. It was in the KU program, so I was able to read it with additional costs. Perfect.

Since I have had the KU program, I have completed ten books and written my five takeaways.

  1. 40 Ways to Increase the Net Income of Your Rental Property
  2. How to Start a Microbrewery
  3. Mastering Your Mystery
  4. Passive Income, Aggressive Retirement
  5. Effortless Money
  6. Covered Calls for Beginners
  7. Mortgage-Backed Securities
  8. How to Start, Run, and Grow an RV Park
  9. How to Invest in a Mobile Home Park
  10. An Expat’s Experiences of Living in Turkey

If you are serious about becoming a content creator, I highly recommend subscribing to the Kindle Unlimited program (through my affiliate link, of course).

Another reason I signed up for the Kindle Unlimited program is that I upload most of my books to the KU program. I am a massive fan of KU for up-and-coming writers. If you subscribe to KU, you can access my Financial Independence Magazine, which is now on issue number 47

I have tons of books on KU, but none is more extensive than “The Biggest Book on Passive Income Ever! (Amazon)” If you can make it through this 1,200-page book, I can promise your life will change. It gives you a start in financial mindset, retirement planning, investing, cryptocurrencies, real estate, and business.

So as a new writer using KU to publish my books, I felt it essential to get the whole KU experience by subscribing. Overall, it feels incredible to see a book you want to read and know it is available through KU.

You can then grab the book without further cost. When you are reading a lot, saving money is great. I highly recommend KU for serious readers and especially for my new content creators. The best way to gather new content is to read books and other articles.

The book “Limitless” goes further into the importance of reading and even gives tips on speed reading. The book “Mindset” goes into the differences of having a fixed versus growth mindset. Reading is definitely a way to build a growth mindset.

So, what is holding you back? Take a look around the Kindle Unlimited program and find some books you would like to read. Then start building your never-ending stream of content!
