The Magic of Waking Up Early

The Magic of Waking Up Early: The Early Bird Gets The Dollar

The world is programming you to become unsuccessful. Almost every news bite I hear from celebrities and entrepreneurs tells you to work less or focus on finding happiness.

Beware of false prophets. Over the last three years, they told you to quit your job, be happy earning minimum wage, and not buy a home.

Then they proceeded to fire a bunch of people, increase interest rates and inflation, and raise rents to levels we couldn’t imagine.

The more we listen to the world, the worse our lives become. Now, I see another staple of success being counter-programmed into the youth.

Be careful what advice you heed. The world is now telling you you can succeed without waking up early—perhaps the worst advice ever.

You are your daily routine. If your daily routine sucks, chances are you will fail. I am just trying to be honest in a world lacking the truth.

If you have a daily routine that produces something, you’ll have an above-average chance of becoming great. The first step is finding a routine that allows you to climb the corporate ladder.

Eventually, you want to build a routine that allows you to create something daily. This can be music, podcasts, videos, articles, information, phone calls, recordings, a garden, a dog walking business, etc.

The magic of the morning. However, if you sleep in until 10 am, you will miss the best part of the day—the morning.

When I was in the workforce, I was the first one to work. The Marine Corps expected me to be a morning raiser, but I was already one in my youth.

Waking up early allows you to see the sunrise, which is essential to your mental and physical health. Your brain also works well in the morning because you haven’t added the layers of stress yet.

Books & Thoughts: My Articles and The Books Behind Them

What is resistance? Resistance is something in your mind that prevents you from accomplishing your tasks.

As the day moves forward, you acquire more and more resistance. That’s why it’s crucial to wake up and accomplish your most formidable task first.

Let’s say you must complete a 10-page PowerPoint presentation today. You can wake up early, create a draft document, and email it to yourself for work.

Now, you have a 60% product and lowered resistance when you get to work. You can complete your PowerPoint as soon as you get to work before you check your email.

Creative Financing in Real Estate 101: Introduction

What the world wants. The world wants you to get to work at 8 am, drink coffee, check your email, sit in meetings, go to lunch, and finally get to your PowerPoint at 2 pm.

If this describes you, start working on your routine today. The world is a tough place and gets more challenging every day.

Welcome to the T.I.C.E.S. Society. I am slowly defining the T.I.C.E.S. Society (Tycoon, Investor, Creator, Entrepreneur, Scholar).

All five of the professions require you to be an early riser. If you want success, you must be extreme toward your dream.

  1. Tycoon- You must be up early to check real estate deals, call banks, meet clients, and organize your real estate documents.
  2. Investor- You want to read the stock market news at night and have your trades ready before the stock market opens at 9 am Eastern.
  3. Creator- Content creators must be on the cutting edge of technology and gaming. When Apple releases a new product, they will not wait for you to wake up.
  4. Entrepreneur- Starting a business is difficult, as you are the leader. You need to be in before your team to push assignments and solve problems.
  5. Scholar- The best time to think critically is the morning. If there is an issue you need to solve, allocate time first thing in the morning to brainstorm.

My early morning story. I am an extreme morning person. I write about my habits in “Become Insanely Productive During the Midnight Hours (and Part 2).”

Preferred Shares 103: The Rule of 72

As a matter of fact, it is 4:08 am as I type this sentence. Waking up early allowed me to build a massive portfolio of articles and books while working full-time.

I then leveraged my business to retire early from the workforce. Even in retirement, I wake up early to write and create.

There is nothing like feeling the peace and quiet of the morning. If you have a family, it is tough to execute your mission during the day’s chaos.

Staying up late. Some people are vampires and stay up all night. They have a natural ability to be productive late at night. However, I believe this is an anomaly to the rule.

Most people should strive to be up at 5 am. Yes, 5 am! That means you should go to bed at 9 pm. If this sounds crazy, then you have some counter-programming to conduct.

Military Success 101: Physical Fitness

Waking up at 5 am gives you at least an hour to get up before your kids. You also can get some work done on your small business or investing strategy.

The magic of waking up early. There is nothing better than waking up early. You can take early flights out of the airport. You can run before all the cars get on the road.

You can find your life partner by waking up early. My wife and I are both extreme morning people. I finish in the Marine Corps in about three months and can’t wait.

The best part of my wife and my retirement will be waking up early, getting coffee, and sitting on the back porch. This is how we will spend the rest of our lives.

How Do You Define Being Rich?

We also plan to grow a garden, cultivate our homestead, and start a business. All this requires time; waking up early gives us a leg up on the world.

Conclusion. The world wants to tell you what you want to hear. It sounds good to hear that you can be successful by waking up at 10 am—this is all garbage.

You should be up before the roosters; this is a precursor to success. You are rich long before you obtain a lot of money.

Millennials, Homeownership, & Kids

It’s the same for being successful. You define your progress in the world long before it reflects your achievements.

Waking up early is a sign of you making a commitment to yourself. It gives you the time, mindset, and capability to overcome whatever is in your way.

Don’t let the mainstream media convince you to be a sleepy, lazy sloth. Push past the noise, wake up early, and create. Good Luck!
