5 Takeaways from “Becoming a Money BOSS”

Becoming a Money BOSS” by Kimberly Olson is an excellent money book that you can easily understand. I genuinely appreciate books that logically flow so I can follow along quickly.

Inside the book, the author goes through the steps to understand, handle, and build money. If you are having difficulty getting a grip on your cash flow, this book can help.

It is also a book for entrepreneurs and those looking to increase their income via side hustles. There is an extensive section on the tax benefits of running a business, which I found helpful.

1) Write a letter to money, describing how you have misunderstood it throughout your life. This is a great idea and one I will do via my blog. It is interesting how our childhood affects how money attaches to us later in life.

2) Our religion may also influence our misconceptions about money. People love to tell stories about how others gave their last penny to help others. This can make us feel we are being greedy because we want some nicer things.

3) It’s okay to splurge a little bit now to get a feel for your future life. For example, eating at a more expensive restaurant than usual or upgrading a flight, hotel, or rental car.

4) Start your “miracle morning” routine early and every day. This is the key to achieving everything you must to get ahead. Accomplish the most challenging task first.

5) Meditation is a way for entrepreneurs to focus on today. Entrepreneurs always have the latest and greatest idea to execute. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming; however, meditation can help us slow down.

Even if you are at a great job, seeing what else is available is okay. There may be jobs paying more than your current salary, which gives you the leverage to ask for a pay raise.

I enjoyed reading this book. The writing is down-to-Earth, flows smoothly, and it is short. You should be able to finish this book in a couple of nights, meaning it doesn’t have unnecessary fluff.

I recommend this book to anyone who has trouble reading megabooks. This is an excellent place to start your financial journey as it covers everything from mindset, debt, investing, and giving. “Becoming a Money BOSS” is an excellent book for everyone.
