5 Takeaways from “Couponing for Beginners Guide”

Couponing for Beginners Guide” by T.M. Crump is a short book on how to start couponing. Every penny counts as we enter a recession and a period of high inflation.

Couponing is a lifestyle—not something you do casually. There is a lot of work to use coupons effectively, so you must take it seriously.

1) Always use your coupons with items that are on sale—that is how you maximize your savings.

2) Stack your coupons by using a manufacturer and store coupon with an item that is on sale.

3) Wait for BOGO (buy one get one free) sales to get the best possible discounts. You can reduce the cost of the first item and then receive the second item free.

4) Keep an eye out for military discounts and over special days to use your coupons.

5) Use store cards to increase savings and collect store points you can redeem later.

Couponing is not for everyone. However, we can all use some techniques to lower our prices at the cashier.

Being aware of sales and discounts can save us 5-10%. That’s enough to cover the taxes on our purchase.

During a recession, we should be more intentional about our spending habits. Couponing is a way to maximize our money, as long as we don’t waste too much time cutting them. This book is an excellent read for us all.
