Marriage Year in Review: 2010

Story- 2010 was another amazing year (I’m starting to notice a trend). We were still stationed in Yuma, Arizona, which I still love to this day. The desert is a very important place for me. Our first son was 3 years old at the beginning of the year. We really were just hanging out around the area. In March 2020, I was promoted to the highly respected rank of Gunnery Sergeant (E7). This is a major deal in the Marine Corps. 

We did do a lot of traveling over the course of this year. Most of it within a 4-hour radius of Yuma. Places such as Catalina Island, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Phoenix come to mind. Some other major events took place this year. Mainly, when we were in Las Vegas this year, Kris told me that she was pregnant with our second child. We were both ecstatic about this. The issue was that I had orders to deploy to Afghanistan in September of this year. I was able to go to 2-3 doctor’s appointments before I left for Afghanistan. I will document my Afghanistan trip in a separate series. 

We were able to have many visitors come to Yuma during the year. Our house in Yuma is perfect for hosting. There are no neighbors and we have a ton of land. I loved our parties there. 2010 will go down as another amazing year in the Josh and Kris saga.

Accomplishments- 1) Josh promotion to E7  2) Kris gets pregnant

Travels- 1) Las Vegas, NV  2) Catalina Island, CA  3) Phoenix, AZ  4) San Diego, CA  5)Afghanistan 

Important Events- 1) Kris and Josh’s friends come visit Yuma  2) Grandpa visits  3) Attend Kris doctor’s appointments
